Babby's First Blog!

Here we go, my first blog post! Well... technically, it's not my first, I did have a blog many years ago that was similar to this, a place to just get out the wild stories of my college years, but I don't remember what website I used or what the name of the blog was and I think I only posted on it a few times. 😅 I don't have a real name for this new blog yet besides my online name 'ArcaneMeow' but maybe I'll come up with a proper blog name in the future. I'm not very creative, especially when it comes to naming things. It took me WEEKS and a lot of Thesaurus searching to come up with ArcaneMeow when I started content creating so for now, it works. I started a new note on my phone to keep track of blog topics/ideas that come to me throughout the day that I would like to write about, but for this first one, I'm going to keep it simple, no crazy stories or emotional topics today! It might even be a little boring, and for that, I apologize in advance to anyone who reads through it all 😂

Today is Sunday, January 28, 2024, and Sundays are typically a very chill stay-at-home day for me. I do 3-4 loads of laundry, which might sound crazy for a single person to do every week but keep in mind I have an apartment size washer and dryer so my loads are much smaller than normal. I do two loads of clothes, a load of towels + all my sheets and pillowcases, and sometimes a fourth load with the couch and cat blankets. If you read this and think, she washes her sheets every week!? YES, I DO AND YOU SHOULD TOO. Do you know how much you sweat on those things at night? And don't even get me started if you have pets or kids in your bed too, WASH YOUR SHEETS REGULARLY PLEASE! Anyway, it takes most of the day to do laundry so I rarely go out on Sundays, and spend it watching TV or YouTube videos and gaming. This particular Sunday I watched episodes 3-7 of the new Percy Jackson and the Olympians show, (episodes 1 & 2 I watched last night) which I thought was pretty good! It's very much catered to a younger audience but I have a lot of interest in Greek mythology (Greece is at the top of my travel list) so it was still quite enjoyable! I was also supposed to play Fortnite with my friend Samuel today, had to get our battle pass grind on, but he messaged me as I was typing this that he's not coming home from his girlfriend's house today because he feels sick and doesn't want to drive in the dark. Not 100% sure how those two things correlate but that's fine, there's always time for Fortnite another day.

Yesterday (Jan 17, 2024) I went out and met up with a friend I hadn't seen in 4 years, Brandon. The main reason we hadn't seen each other in so long was because he was very much on and off with our friendship. I'll preface this by saying I have ALWAYS had very weird and unorthodox friendships throughout my life. This one in particular is no different, and before you jump to conclusions, no we are not and were never friends with benefits, or dating, or anything in that realm. He lived nearly an hour and a half away from me and we did meet online (which I can guarantee is where I met any person reading this) and actually only met in person that one time 4 years ago, so yesterday was the second time we hung out in person. Brandon just moved to my city for a new job and now lives a ~12-minute drive away, so we will probably be hanging out a lot more in the future. I know, shocker I actually have an IRL friend 😂 I do have 2 other IRL friends thank you very much, including Samuel, but that's about the extent of my friend group in Southern Ontario.

Anyway, I'm rambling now (get used to it), all Brandon and I did yesterday was meet at Walmart so he could buy some stuff for his new apartment, then we went over to Dollarama (Canadian version of Dollar Tree, maybe?? We also have some Dollar Tree's here too) and parted ways. It was a quick meet-up and catch-up and when he took off I did some extra running around of my own. I went to the bank to deposit cash I got for Christmas, and luckily there was a Starbucks in the same plaza so I ran in there and got my favorite drink: Chocolate Cookie Crumble Creme Frappucino🤤 and a Crispy Grilled Cheese on Sourdough, since I hadn't eaten anything yet that day. Both were excellent. I was planning on sitting in Starbucks and doing some writing for this blog but before I left the house I decided against it and didn't bring my tablet, which I'm glad for now because the Starbucks I went to, which I've never been inside, didn't have a sit-down area so I wouldn't have been able to anyways. After that, I headed home and spent the rest of the day at home without anything overly eventful happening.

This ended up being a lot longer than I expected it to be, with nearly half of it cut out and made into a post of its own (see the post after this one) but if you made it this far, congratulations! You survived and hopefully, it wasn't too painful, unless you're into that kind of thing. No judgment here 😇 I can guarantee the next post will be much more interesting 😅
